Fr. Fernando

Was born in Madrid (Spain) on August 19, 1962. He went to school in the Colegio Santa María del Carmen in Madrid. During those years, in the school and in the Carmelite Parish Church in Sonsoles, he came to know the Carmelite Order, and felt called to live this charism. He entered the Order as a postulant, in Madrid, when he was eighteen years old. Then he began his Novitiate on October 3, 1981, in Hinojosa del Duque. He was elected Prior General of the Carmelites at the General Chapter of Sassone, (Rome) on September 13, 2007.
